On July 12th, surrounded by close family, Theresa Williams, 80, was passed into the hands of her Saviour at Juravinski Hospital. And if there was ever a woman more deserving of His warm embrace, it is her. She is survived by her husband, Bill, and her four daughters, Mary Anne, Maureen (Rory Smith), Patricia (Tony McLaughlin) and Christine (Derrick Lanigan). She will also be missed by her six grandchildren, Danny, Meghann, Rachael, Matthew, Rebecca and Jacob and her three great-grandchildren Hunter, Gia and Wyatt. She is also survived by her brother, Stephan Rapcewicz (Anne-Marie). Her unyielding faith and uncompromising spirit was not only an inspiration, but a gateway to a better place. She is now in the company of her father and mother, Joseph and Mary Rapsavage, brother Thomas (Jean Rapcewicz), sister Joan and brother Joseph. She took her last breath at 5:15 am but most certainly took her next moments later within the heavenly gates. Theresa was a proud Brightsider and always reminiscent of the strong friendships she forged within the Hamilton community. She was a hardworking wife and mother and that work ethic will live on through future generations. Her Catholic faith never wavered and she has met her Saviour on this day with St. John Jones and St. John Wall, both English Catholic saints executed for their religious beliefs. Cremation has taken place. Friends and family are welcome to celebrate Theresa's life with a Funeral Mass to be held at St. Charles Garnier Church, 129 Hughson St. South, Hamilton on Thursday, July 17, 2014 at 10:30 am. Interment to follow. Donations to St. Charles Garnier Church Memorial Fund would be appreciated by the family. On-line tributes may be made to www.marlattfhhamilton.com
