Loving mother of Joey, Daniel (Lisa) and Nikola (Michelle). Cherished Baka of Marissa (Cam), Sydney (Zach), Marcus, Joshua and Addison. Proud Great-Baka of William. She is survived by her sister Manda and is predeceased by her brother Adam and brothers-in-law Nikola and Ivan. She will be missed by her sister-in-law Tereza and nieces and nephews Mike, Anita (Deane), Mary (Steve), Slavko (Kira), Marinela (Jasmin) and Zdravko.

Vera was born in Croatia, Slavonia, Dubocac and left there to come to Canada to start a life for her family.

We will remember her for her funny personality and her immense love and care for her family and friends. Her love for cooking and baking was always enjoyed, and nobody left her home hungry. She always took care of others first. We love and miss you Baka - forever in our hearts!

Visitation at Markey-Dermody Funeral Home, 1774 King Street East, Hamilton on Tuesday, December 23 from 4-8 p.m. with Rosary at 7 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Holy Cross Croatian Church, 1883 King Street East on Wednesday, December 24 at 10 a.m. Cremation to follow. Donations can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
