Vlado Mikulic

Much loved father of Kathy and her husband Nenad Loncar. Survived by his brothers-in-law Mijo Rudar (Hamilton) and Franjo Matijevic (Croatia). Lovingly remembered by his nieces and their families: Mary (Rudy) Vucic, Mirjana (Dubravko) Rumiha, Blazenka Matijevic, Branka (Howard) Dench, Jasna (Sinisa) Arsenic as well as his cousins Tomo and Francika Mikuljan and their family.

Dad was an avid sports fan, always cheering for his favourite teams, the Montreal Canadiens, Hamilton Tiger Cats, Real Madrid, and his beloved Dinamo Zagreb. Special thanks to Dr. C. Zrinscak, Nurse Alyson and Palliative Care Nurse Mira for their support and compassionate care during dad’s final days.

Friends will be received at the Markey-Dermody Funeral Home, 1774 King Street East (at Kenilworth) on Friday, September 20, 2019 from 4:00 to 9:00 p.m. with Vigil Prayers at 8 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Holy Cross Catholic Church, 1883 King Street East, on Saturday, September 21, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. Interment to follow at Our Lady of the Angels Cemetery. If desired, donations in Vlado’s memory can be made to Holy Cross Catholic Church or the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
