Peacefully, surrounded by his family on Feb 6, 2015 at St. Peter’s Hospital in his 92nd year. Beloved husband of Eileen (Cooper) for 70 years. Survived by his children Gail (Dave) Richardson, Carolyn (Marty) Heikoop and Bill (Lynn) Balsdon. Grandfather to Darren, Dan, Lindsay (Dave), Jeff (Cherylyn), Emily and Chris; and Great-grandfather to Abigal, Emma, Hannah, Henry, Phillip, Alisha, Gwendolen, Ewan, Angus and Hazel. Predeceased by his grandson David and sister Iris Culp. Bill was a veteran of WWII, serving overseas with the Royal Canadian Navy. He retired from Wabco, after more than 40 years of service. Cremation has taken place. A reception for family and friends will be held at CRESMOUNT FUNERAL HOME - UPPER JAMES CHAPEL, 1020 Upper James, Hamilton on Sunday, February 22, 2015 from 1:00-3:00 pm. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Peter’s Hospital – Maplewood.
