

We regret to announce that William McFadden passed away quietly in his 102nd year on November 2, 2015, at Hamilton General Hospital. He was predeceased by his loving wife Elizabeth Jean in 1991. He will be sadly missed by his two sons David William of Toronto and John Edwin of Markdale, Ontario. Also mourning the loss of their Grandfather is Jennifer McFadden of Hamilton. He is also survived by his three Great-Grandchildren Amy Bennett, Chloe Langedyk and Benny Langedyk, all of Hamilton. Bill will also be missed by many nieces and nephews. A special thank you to son David’s wife Merlin Homer, for her tireless support. Mr. McFadden was a former employee for many years and retirée of Stelco, and was a longtime member of St. Paul’s United Church. He was also a member of Lodge #27 A.F.&A.M., a Life-member of O.E.S. Westminster Chapter and served with the Armed Forces from 1943 to 1946. Friends and family will gather at TRUSCOTT, BROWN & DWYER FUNERAL CHAPEL on Thursday, November 5 from 10 am to 12 noon, followed by a service in the chapel with the Reverend Dwayne Ratzlaff officiating. Interment will follow immediately at White Chapel Memorial Gardens in the family plot, alongside his beloved wife. In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Paul’s United Church would be appreciated.
