William Herbert Warry

Bill passed away peacefully at the Georgian Retirement Residence on January 24, 2011 in his 87th year. Predeceased by Dorothy (2007) his loving wife and best friend of 61 years. Survived by sons Brian (Cathy) and Wayne (Kristen). Proud grandfather of Adam, Andrew (Shelby), David and Lilah. Beloved brother of Betty. During WWII Bill proudly served as a sonar operator on convoy escort patrols. After the war he returned to STELCO where he enjoyed a long and successful career. He will be remembered and missed by the many wonderful friends he and Dorothy made during his active years of membership at Livingston United Church, Pioneer Memorial United Church and his many years at Glendale Golf and Country Club. Special thanks to the staff at the Georgian Retirement Residence and the CCAC staff for their care and compassion. Cremation has taken place. Friends will be received at the MARLATT FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTRE, 615 Main Street East (east of Sanford Ave.), Hamilton on Sunday January 30, 2011 from 2-6 p.m. A Memorial Service will be held at Pioneer Memorial Church 1974 King Street East on Monday January 31, 2011 at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Charity of your choice would be appreciated.
