Winifred Jackson (McInally) Kirk

Loving wife of Bill (deceased) for over 62 years and mother to Bill (Bridget) and James (deceased). Dear and loving “Gran” to Liam and Riley. Winnie was born in Dundee Scotland and moved to Canada in the late 1950’s where she met and married Bill in July 1959. Winnie was loved by everyone and was the sweetest, kindest person you could ever meet or know. Winnie will be missed by her immediate family, relatives and friends located in Scotland, British Columbia, Ontario, Ohio and Texas.

Winnie spent a significant amount of her working life at the Post Office in Hamilton. Winnie was an excellent cook and a great baker with her specialty being her Christmas short bread which everyone loved during the holiday season. Winnie took great pride in keeping her home spotless and tidy well into her 80’s. Winnie loved her antiques with one of her hobbies being making china figurine dolls. When Bill became ill in early 2020 it was Winnie’s love and care that allowed Bill to remain at home and enjoy his final years.

Visitation at CRESMOUNT FUNERAL HOME, 322 Fennell Ave. E., Hamilton on Thursday, June 9, 6 – 8 pm. Service and Mass to be held at 10:00 am on Friday June 10 at St. MARGARET MARY RC CHURCH, 20 Idlewood Avenue, Hamilton. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Alzheimer’s Society of Canada.
