It is with profound sadness that the family announces the passing of Zigmas “Ziggy” Kalvaitis on Sunday, June 3, 2012 at St. Joseph’s Hospital in his 85th year. Beloved husband of Maria for 60 years. Cherished father of Kestutis “Casey” (Maria), Raymond (Monica), Loretta, Rick (Anna), and Rob (Jennifer). Beloved Tevukas of Jenny, Kenneth, Jessie, Paul, Mark, Leah, Lauren and Genna. Survived by his sister Monika and many nieces and nephews in Lithuania. Ziggy was a very dedicated employee with Aldershot Equipment Rental in Burlington. We wish to thank Dr. William Nisker and Nurse Clinician Deb Weber at Joseph Brant Hospital’s Heart Function Clinic for 11 years of dedicated, compassionate care. Friends may call at the MARLATT FUNERAL HOME, 615 Main Street East (east of Sanford), Hamilton on Wednesday, June 6, 2012 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Rosary in the Marlatt Memorial Chapel at 7 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of Mercy Lithuanian Church, 58 Dundurn Street North, Hamilton on Thursday, June 7, 2012 at 10 a.m. Interment St. John’s Lithuanian Cemetery, Mississauga.
