Zlata Hlacar

Born in Croatia, 1938. It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful but unexpected passing at home of our mother and grandmother on Saturday, October 10, 2015, in her 78th year. She will be missed by her loving and caring sons Rudy and his wife Lillian, Tony and his wife Mary. Cherished Baba to Holly, Virginia and Jordan. Predeceased by her husband Tony Anton Hlacar, mother Milka Resjan and sisters Dragica, Janica and Marica. Will be dearly missed by her brother Rudy Resjan and wife Marica, and niece Anna and Mike Bakarich (Melissa and Mitchell). Brother in-law Ivo Hlacar and wife Ljubica, niece Mariann and Dave Barkovich (Matthew, Joshua and Luke), nephew Johnny and Angie Hlacar (Hailey and Jadyn). Father in-law Ate Vincec. Also remembered by many cousins and friends in Canada, Croatia and the U.S.A. We would like to thank all our family and friends for their kindness and compassion. Viewing will be at MARKEY-DERMODY FUNERAL HOME, 1774 King Street E. (at Kenilworth), Hamilton on Tuesday, October 13, 2015 from 2-4 p.m. and 6-9 p.m. with rosary at 7:30 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Holy Cross Church, 1883 King Street E., Hamilton on Wednesday, October 14, 2015 at 9:30 a.m. followed by interment at Our Lady of the Angels Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to Holy Cross Parish Church.
