Zora Sprajc

With her family by her side, passed away peacefully on July 7, 2015, in her 90th year. Predeceased by her loving husband Mate Sprajc. Loving mama of Anica and Ivo Vranic of Croatia, Katica and Ivica Devcic, and Nada and Ivan Mesic. Cherished baka of Vlatka and Silvio Bencina , Jean and Jim Zvonar, Zlatko and Marie Mesic, Joe and Diana Cvitak, late John (2009) and Nicole Devcic, John and Barbara Mesic, and Matija and Tonka Vranic . Loving great-grandmother of Bianca, Alex, Samantha, Marcus, Evan, John, Erik, Ivan, Katija, Maximir, and Toma. Zora will be remembered by many family, friends and kumovi in both Canada and Croatia. She was born in Krizpolje, Lika, Croatia. She will be remembered for her smile, her gentle nature, her big heart and deep love for her family. We would like to extend our deepest appreciation and thanks to Heritage Green Nursing Home staff for taking special care of our mother (mama Zorka). You are truly angels among us. Visitation will be at the MARKEY-DERMODY FUNERAL HOME (905-547-1121), 1774 King St. E. (at Kenilworth Ave.) on Friday, July 10, 2015 from 2-4 pm and 6-9 pm. Vigil prayers at 7:30 pm. A funeral mass will be celebrated at Holy Cross Croatian Church on Saturday, July 11, 2015 at 9:00 am with interment to follow in Our Lady of the Angels Cemetery on Mud Street, Stoney Creek. In lieu of flowers, donations in Zora’s memory can be made to Holy Cross Croatian Church in Hamilton or to Sveti Kriz Church in Krizpolje, Croatia.
