Alice was born in Deerfield, Michigan on April 26th, 1936, daughter of the late Howard Harmon Lewis and Martha Chesney Mitchell; she was also preceded in death by her sister, Iris Colleeen Dickinson.
She is survived by her loving children; son, Stephen David Crampton and wife Patti of Hampton; daughter, Lisa Catherine Williams and husband Allen of Hampton; grandchildren, Kyle Crampton, Hallie Crampton and Caitlin Williams; her pets and companions, Zeus and Chico.
Alice had a great love for quilting and had many friends in the quilt guild. Many members also knew Alice from her many years working and teaching at The Quilt Patch or at Artful Quilter.
A memorial service will be conducted at 2:00 PM Saturday, December 15th, 2012 at Parklawn-Wood Funeral Home Chapel; The family wishes expressions of sympathy to take the form of contributions to the Virginia Quilt Museum in Harrisonburg, 301 South Main Street, Harrisonburg VA 22801.
