Many beautiful photos shared of Andrea, we thank the family and friends for posting.  While I did not know Andrea personally, we know her lovely older sister, Robin, whose hugs and continued commitment to our small Wilmington community extends beyond work.  Robin always talks so greatly about her family, from both close and far - my thoughts go out to you all in this difficult time.

You and I have been friends and sisters for 11 years, and I knew that you were a loving, generous, and special woman, but it wasn't until today as I sat in the church, watched and listened to your family, friends, and Pastor speak, that I truly realized how much your life had such an impact on so many people, and you will be remembered and missed forever by all. I am inspired by you to be a better person. 

On a different note, when it came to parties, no matter what the occasion, you always took great pride in having the best!  Well Girl, you did it again!  I know that you were definitely guiding your family while they planned this Celebration of Life for you, because it was really spectacular!  You were a spectacular woman and friend!  I know that you were happy with todays celebration of you!

Andrea was much more than my supervisor. She was a friend as well as someone I could count on to talk over life with. She was beautiful inside and out. She was a friend to my mom and me when my mom was very sick. My mom after she recovered when she was able to make some chicken and dumplings I carried some to Andrea, Bernie, and Melody. She spoke often about how much she enjoyed that home cooking. She shared pictures of Kennedy with my mom and me. She loved her very much as she loved each member of her family. Bernadette and Andrea were sisters from another mother. They were close as could be. Andrea we will miss you very much. God has you in his care. We all can rejoice knowing you are with the Father, the Son, and the Holy Sprit this day. Prayers to your family. God bless all!!

I can't believe that such a wonderful soul has been taken away so soon. I am terribly sorry for the void that has been left in your family. God bless your entire Davis family during this time and beyond.

Anne, Carter, Vincent and Family: There is nothing that I can say that will ease the hurt and pain that you are feeling at this time. I know time will erase some of it, but it will never go away; however, we can all take comfort in knowing that she is with people who love her very much. While I missed knowing her as an adult, I know that as a child, she was beautiful, talented and spirited. I know that her Uncle George doted on her and I will always love her. It was such a pleasure being able to call her sister (Drifter).  She had such a beautiful spirit and would light up a room when she entered without even trying.  She will truly be missed.  Until we meet again.

The passing of my childhood BFF felt like a dream up until today when I was finally was awakened by typing "Andrea Davis Obituary" in google and I received this hit.  Words cannot express how much I truly loved Andrea.  She was my friend, sister, counselor, and any other title that you can think of, she was it, she would always a clear a way to understanding.  I still remember every word we said to one another the Tuesday before, and I still have the text messages we exchanged.  The one thing I am glad I said to her was, hey sis if I don't talk to you again before tomorrow, I want you to know I love you and no worries.
Needless to say God saw things differently and chose this Angel for his palace. My condolences go out Mama and Papa Gilmer, Vincent, DeAndre, Destini & Kennedy.  As for you Andrea, you know what colors I like, and don't forget to bling my wings when its my time to join you. So until then, I will always love you and I will never forget you!

So save a seat for me until we meet again and you can show me how you have decorated your mansion and plan to decorate mine!!! :). I love you sis..forever and always.

Heaven became a little brighter when Andrea's spirit entered.  I will remember her as the classy, funny and thoughtful woman I met over 20 years ago.
