went to be with the Lord on January 15th, 2026.
Toni was born in Richmond, VA on January 14, 1931, to her loving parents, Gillion Bryan Jones and Pauline Jones Taylor. She graduated from John Marshall HS in 1948 and attended St. Paul’s Church in Richmond during her childhood.
Toni relocated to the Peninsula in 1966 where she was co-founder of a hearing aid business. After stepping out of the hearing aid business she became employed by the City of Newport News as the “Secretary to the City Commissioner of Revenue” where she served for 30 years before retiring.
When not working or continuing her education at the local colleges, her favorite pastime was reading, writing, doing needle point artwork, and sewing. She attended Parkview Presbyterian Church in Newport News and was a long-standing member of Mensa.
She will be missed very much by her close friends!
