Betty Irene White

Betty Irene White (née Brockman) was called to be with our Heavenly Father on Friday, July 23, 2021. She was one of four children, born in Louisa County, Va to the late Samuel Hiter Brockman and Macy Arline Brockman (née Butler). She was also preceded in death by her sister, Connie Brockman Stewart. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, sister-in-law, and mother-in-law. She was very outgoing and loved everyone who was connected to the White and Brockman families. Betty is survived by her husband of 52 years, Al White; sons, Michael and Steven; daughter, Julie Pollard (Jason); three grandchildren whom she loved with all her heart, Kendra, Brett, and Austin; and two brothers, Sonny Brockman (Sun), and Jerry Brockman. Betty had many nieces and nephews and was truly blessed to have such a large and loving family. Our love for Betty will never diminish or be replaced. She will remain in our hearts forever. A Celebration of Life service will be held at 9:30 AM on Friday, July 30, 2021 at Parklawn-Wood Funeral Home, 2551 N. Armistead Ave., Hampton, Va 23666. Pastor Timothy Dobson will be officiating. Burial will take place at Peninsula Memorial Park, 12750 Warwick Blvd., Newport News, Va 23606. A gathering of family and friends will follow at First Church of God, 617 Randolph Road, Newport News, Va 23607.
