Boude Hartelius

She saw the world change many times over; and for better or worse, she always made the most out of life. Boude was always known for her storytelling, which captivated younger minds and helped bridge the gap between old and new. She always enjoyed getting together with friends and family, whether it was for something simple like a garage sale, or an event that necessitated breaking out the silver and fine china.

Boude never hesitated to bestow wisdom and kindness to everyone in her life. She will be dearly missed by those who were fortunate enough to know her.

Boude was predeceased by her parents, Dr. William Lloyd Mason Jr. and Isabelle Schofield Mason McGill; her brother, William Lloyd Mason III; and her husband, Ernest J. Hartelius. She is survived by her daughter, Penny Peed; grandson, Paul Masterson; niece, Nicolette Mason of Florida; cousin, Peggy Pamplin of Virginia; and several other cousins.

A special thank you and love to Yvonne Brown for her caregiving and love over the years.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Burial will be private.
