Boyd "Buddy" Huston Curry

Buddy was employed by the Newport News Shipbuilding for 42 years as a pipefitter and retired in August 1990.

Buddy was preceded in rest by his parents, Rosser and Bertha Curry; brother, Eugene Curry; and sisters, Agnes Gauthier, Helen Glass and Delores Richardson.

Surviving him are his wife of 54 years, Audrey R. Curry; son, Ronald S. Curry and his wife, Lisa of Poquoson; daughter, Jean Wolfe and husband, Richard of Yorktown; grandchildren, Brenda Wolfe, Karen Obergfell and husband, Matt, and Ronald Curry, Jr.; brother, Harold Curry; sister, Genevieve Rowe; special friend, Nolan Lacks; and sisters-in-law, Carolyn Haupt of Baltimore, MD and Barbara Richardson of Roanoke.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, March 15 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Parklawn-Wood Funeral Home. A Celebration of Buddy's life will be held on Wednesday, March 16 at 11 a.m. at the funeral home, officiated by Rev. Allen Jeffers. Interment will follow at Hampton-Veterans Memorial Gardens.
