Boyd Lee Williams, Jr.

Boyd was a member of St. John’s Episcopal Church in Hampton. He retired from NASA in 1988 as a Senior Engineering Technician after a 28 year career. He was an accomplished gunsmith. He was a Tech Sergeant in the US Air Force and served in the Korean Conflict. He attended the Norfolk Division of William & Mary College.

He was a member of the Churchland Masonic Lodge #276 AF & AM and a 32nd degree Mason. As a Mason, he was also a member of the National Sojourners, Langley-Monroe Chapter #310.

Preceding him in rest is his son, Boyd Lee Williams, III. Surviving members of his family include his wife of four years, Barbara Sinclair Williams; his four children, Nancy Loraine Mobley, Michael David Williams, George Philip Williams, William Albert Williams; grandchildren, Caitlin Suzanne Williams, Rebecca Lee Williams, Kristin Amelia Williams, Lauren Ashley Wilson, Casey Michele Leaptrot, Tyler Bryant Lee Gray; and great granddaughter, Mallory Abigail Wilson.

A service, with Masonic Rites, will be held Saturday, October 3, 2015, at 2:00 PM, at St. John’s Episcopal Church in Hampton, with Rev. Samantha Vincent-Alexander presiding.
