Carolyn Jon Noyes

Carolyn was a native of Oklahoma but called Virginia home for the past 28 years. She was a proud member of the U.S. Air Force where she worked in Logistics and retired on September 30, 1993 after 21 years of service. Carolyn’s Military education included: Squadron Officer School (Res/Cor) for 11 weeks in 1979, and Air Command and Staff College (Seminar) in 1983. She acquired numerous awards during her time of service which included a: Meritorious Service Award with 1 oak leaf cluster, Air Force Commendation Award with 1 oak leaf cluster, Air Force Outstanding Unit Award, Air Force Organizational Excellence Award, National Defense Service Medal with 1 bronze star, Air Force Overseas Long Term Tour Ribbon, and an Air Force Longevity Award Ribbon with 4 oak leaf clusters. In her free time, Carolyn enjoyed playing the piano and singing in choirs at the Hampton area churches she was affiliated with.

Carolyn is preceded in rest by her parents, J.L. and Anna Noyes; and both sets of grandparents, Charles and Mary Noyes, and Richard and Olive Allen. She is survived by her four brothers, Charles R. Noyes, Jimmy L. Noyes, Ronald T. Noyes, and Bobby W. Noyes. Carolyn will be missed by all who knew her.
