Christopher Van Mabe, 42, died unexpectedly on Tuesday, July 25, 2017. He was born in Hampton, Virginia and was a resident of Yorktown for 10 years, graduated from Bethel High School in 1992 and attended Christopher Newport College.
Christopher was preceded in rest by his daughter, Makayla Mabe. He is survived by his daughter, Miranda Dawn Mabe; sons, Justin Mabe, Jared Mabe, and Jacob Mabe all from Williamsburg; mother, Cathy Mabe; father, Jerry Mabe; sister, Stacey Cannon (William) of Yorktown; special niece Gracie; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
The family will receive friends 6:00 to 8:00 pm, Thursday, July 27, 2017 at Parklawn-Wood Funeral Home. A celebration of Christopher’s life will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, July 28, 2017 at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Parklawn Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed toward St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
