Claudette Binns died March 8, 2019. She was 67. Claudette was a retired employee of the Newport News Public School system, having served as a preschool teacher for over three decades. She was also a beloved member of Immanuel Fellowship Church, faithfully teaching in their Vacation Bible School program and as a former member of their choir.
Miss Binns was preceded in death by her parents and a brother. She is survived by two sisters, a brother, four nieces, one nephew, and one grandnephew.
The family will receive friends on Friday, March 15, 2019 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at Parklawn-Wood Funeral Home, 2551 N. Armstead Ave., Hampton. Her funeral service will be conducted on Saturday, March 16, 2019, 1:00 pm, at Immanuel Fellowship Church, 5862 Orcutt Ave., Newport News.
