David was a lifetime Hampton resident and 1976 graduate of Bethel High School. Prior to his illness, David was a very talented carpenter who could build practically anything and build it well. He loved saltwater fishing and enjoyed many pleasant hours of fishing with his brothers and friends.
David is preceded in death by his sister, Lisa. He is survived by his parents, Bert and Marion Irene Griggs; oldest brother, Mike Sneed; older brother, Steve Griggs; a special niece, Amanda McCleney; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Tuesday, June 7, 2016 at Parklawn-Wood Funeral Home. A celebration of David’s life will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, June 8 at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Parklawn Memorial Park.
