

Dennis Delbert Fox I, age 80, died on April 3, 2014 at home. His final days were spent surrounded by his family and friends. He was born January 10, 1934 in Garards Fort, PA, the youngest of 13 children to Francis Marion Fox and Dessie May Fox.
He moved to VA in 1959 and worked 37 years at the Newport News Shipyard, retiring in1995. Delbert enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, helping friends and neighbors. He was an active member of the Banbury Rod & Gun Club, FOP, and coached his girl's little league softball.
He leaves behind his wife of 26 years, Linda J. Fox; children: sons, Dennis (Amanda) D. Fox II, Leon Weaver and Steven (Heather) Schott; daughters, Teri Fox (Mark) Kirkley and Kelli Marie (Mark) Caldwell; 11 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. He will be sadly missed by sisters Agness Lemunyon and Janie Hardy of PA and brother, Allen Fox of NC; extended family in PA, and his beloved Poo cat.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers, Franklin Fox, John Fox, Tom E. Fox, Bob E. Fox; and sisters, Evelyn Stewart, Leeta Wade, Emma Belford, Myrtle Morris, Betty A. Wilson.
Services will be Monday, April 7, 2014 at Parklawn-Wood Funeral Home, Hampton, VA; viewing at 11am with funeral at noon. Cards and condolences may be sent to Linda Fox.
