

Earle was born to parents Floyd and Wanda Morr on December 6, 1929 in Otho, Iowa. Earle grew up in the nearby town of Odebolt. After high school, Earle served in the US Air Force for 20 years and retired as a Technical Sergeant. After leaving the Air Force, Earle began a second career at Newport News Shipbuilding.
Earle met his wife, Ransy, while stationed in Keflavik, Iceland and they were married for 53 years. Earle was predeceased in death by his wife, Ransy (Ragnheidur Thorhallsdottir); his parents, Floyd and Wanda Morr; his brothers, Bob, Craig, Dick and Jim. Earle is survived by his daughter, Sandra Horvath (Tom), their children Shannon and Nicole; his son John (Jean), and their children, Evan and Tyler.
Earle enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren, passing along his love for the Chesapeake Bay and his love of animals. A Midwestern guy at heart, Earle was most fond of spending time tending to his backyard garden where he enjoyed sharing his chickens, goats and other critters with his grandchildren. After retirement from the shipyard, Earle and Ransy enjoyed traveling abroad and taking cruises with friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Parklawn-Wood Funeral Home on July 6, 2023, 4:00 PM-6:00 PM. Earle will be interred next to his wife, Ransy. The family desires people wishing to send flowers or cards to consider making donations in support of their favorite charity.
