She was a graduate of Newport News High School and celebrated 68 years of marriage to her husband, George W. Kent, Jr. Virginia was a kind hearted, loving mother and grandmother to 5 children, 15 grandchildren, and 15 great grandchildren. She always saw to it that her children and grandchildren had not only everything they needed but also what they wanted. She truly possessed a servant’s heart putting everyone’s needs and wants ahead of her own. She was a wonderful cook and perhaps the instrumental glue that held her family together. Her acts of love and kindness are countless and she is held dear in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
