Elinor W. Davis

Elinor was a lifelong resident of the peninsula who loved to dance, camp, and travel. In her earlier years, she was a bookkeeper at Cofer Auto, where she met her husband, Donald. They married on July 21, 1951. Together, they had three sons and a daughter. Elinor was a loving and devoted mother, mother-in-law, grandmother and great-grandmother. She loved her family and will be greatly missed by many.

Everyone Elinor met was a friend. She never knew a stranger. She was a life member of Bethany United Methodist Church on Todds Lane in Hampton. Elinor was a devoted member of the VFW Auxiliary and The Wally Byam Caravan Club. She was also the past president of the Zeta Epsilon Club.

Elinor is preceded in death by her husband, Donald; mother; father; two sisters; and a brother. She is survived by her children, Guy Donald Davis (Norma), Douglas Lee Davis (Barbara), Frank Ware Davis, and Kathleen Virginia Orr (Scott); grandchildren, Doug Davis II (Danielle), Mike Davis (Rachel), Becky Davis, Aimee Heeze (Andy), Christopher Orr, Christy Hensler-Davis, and Taylor Hohle (Em); great-grandchildren, Kayla, Haley, Alaina, Parker, Corbin, Charlie, and Hayden Davis.

Services are provided by Parklawn-Wood Funeral Home, 2551 N. Armistead Avenue, Hampton, Virginia, 23666 and are private.
