Mr. Forrest Woody Hubert Jones Jr.

Forrest H. "Woody" Jones, 81, passed away on Thursday, January 21, 2010, at Obici Hospital. Woody was a deacon and longtime member of West Hampton Baptist Church and Hampton Roads Baptist Church. He lived life to the fullest and loved his Lord, his family, and baseball! His life was a daily celebration of the joys of family, friendship, and faith. We were touched by his extraordinary spirit and will be inspired by his memory forever. Woody is survived by his wife of 60 years, Edith Jones; daughter, Sharon Warren and husband, Jerry; son, Danny Jones; daughter, Teresa Garcia and husband, Doug; daughter, Lisa Ryder and husband, Don; grandchildren, Matthew, Andrew, and Alyson Warren and Ryan and Jessica Garcia; brother, Robert Jones of Norfolk; sisters, Polly Howell of Shelby, NC and Michelle Blanton of Harris, NC; and numerous sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces and nephews.The family will receive friends Sunday, January 24 from 4:00 to 6:00 PM at the funeral home. A celebration of Woody's life will be held Monday, January 25 at 2:00 PM at Parklawn-Wood Funeral Home Chapel.
