Frank Gregory "Greg" Pleinka

Mr. Pleinka was born and raised in Norfolk, Va., and graduated from Great Bridge High School in 1965. He graduated from Old Dominion University in 1970 and worked as a teacher/coach at Buckroe and Jefferson Davis Junior High Schools in Hampton for 2 years. He then began work as a telecommunications sales manager, which he continued for the remainder of his career. He had a love for traveling, good food, and telling funny stories.

He leaves to cherish his memory his wife of 39 years, Sandra A. Pleinka; daughter Elizabeth Pleinka-Bateman (Andrew); mother-in-law, Maude Judkins; niece Adrienne Palmer Zubiller; brother-in-law Andy Agnew, and many other family and friends.

A graveside service will be held Wednesday afternoon, February 17, at 2:00 at Parklawn Memorial Park. Following the service, the family will receive friends from 2:30 to 4:00 at Parklawn-Wood Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that a donation be made to the American Cancer Society.
