

He was an avid and competitive fisherman. He was a devoted husband and father who enjoyed playing with his son. While working at Huntington Ingalls as an experienced welder, he was part of the elite Tiger Team.
George was preceded in death by Cecelia A. Littlepage, Tsuru (Sue) Rome, Jerry Baldwin, Alice Ann Palmentera, Jason Seidnitzer, Joshua Sechrist. He is survived by his loving wife and soulmate, Ericka Rome; his son, Jordan Lee Rome; father and his wife, George Lee Rome, Sr. (Diane); mother and her husband, Linda Rome McCaskill (William); sister, Cassandra Rome (Jeff); three brothers, Daniel Long (Pamela), Michael Vega (Christina), David Vega; his grandfathers, Alfred Rome and Jerry Littlepage; his in-laws, Thomas and Christal Seidnitzer; niece, Larissa Vega; nephew, Christian Vega; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
The family will receive friends 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm, Thursday, October 6, 2016 at Parklawn-Wood Funeral Home. A celebration of George’s life will be held at 1:00 pm on Friday, October 7 at the funeral home with interment to follow in Parklawn Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the George and Jordan Rome Trust at Bank of America, or the George and Jordan Rome Trust.
