Georgia Pauline Lucas

Georgia Pauline Lucas, age 90, of Hampton, Virginia passed away on Tuesday, November 29, 2022. She was born in North Carolina on August 12, 1932. In 1950, she married the love of her life, James and they had 52 glorious years together. After marriage, they moved to Virginia together and started a family. Georgia retired after 30 years as a cafeteria manager for Hampton City School District. Her children and grandchildren meant the world to her, but her great-grandchildren were her favorite. She would spoil them every time she could. Georgia loved cooking and shopping, and she was notorious for always buying clothes and never wearing them. She will be greatly missed by those that love her. Georgia is preceded in death by her parents, Wilford and Beulah Cooper; her husband, James Lucas; and her daughter, Georgia Irvin. She is survived by her 3 sons, Alan R. Lucas, Dennis J. Lucas, and Ronnie G. Lucas (Lorna); granddaughter, Paula Sproston (Michael) and Casey Lucas; grandson, Brian Irvin; and 3 great-grandchildren, James Irvin, Sarah Irvin, and Georgia Causey. A graveside celebration of life service will be held at Parklawn Memorial Park on Saturday, January 21, 2023 at 1:00 PM.
