Gerald Nelson Britt, Jr., 63, walked his way into Heaven's gate on February 28, 2018. Jerry was a lifelong resident of Hampton, where he raised a strong family with his wife Joyce, "Momma" as he called her, for 35 years.
He is survived by his wife, Joyce; son, Michael Britt (Micki & Jaelynn); daughter, Crystal Britt-Smith and son-in-law, Daniel; sister, Myra Crist and brother-in-law, Donnie; niece, Stacy Epperson; and four grandchildren, Rian, Mason, Miles, and Karson. He also leaves behind a best friend who never left his side, his dog, Susie.
A celebration of Jerry's life will take place for family and friends on Saturday, March 10, 2018 at 2:00 pm at Victory Baptist Church, 445 Shelton Road, Hampton, Virginia 23663.
