Gerald Wayne Croll “Jerry”, 77, passed away Wednesday, June 28, 2017 at Riverside Regional Medical Center. He retired in 2007 from the Newport News Shipbuilding after 48 years. He was a member of the Moose Lodge #1119 and a former Taekwondo Instructor. He enjoyed his grandchildren’s sports and was their #1 fan.
He was predeceased by his son, Michael Wayne Croll, his parents and his brother. Survivors include his daughter, Debbie Croll Sumrell and husband Keith; grandchildren, Victoria Jordan Sumrell, Christian Michael Sumrell, and Tatiana Sumrell Hawthorne; his brother, David Croll and wife Marianne; and many nieces, nephews and special cousins.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 pm on Thursday, July 6, 2017 at Parklawn-Wood Funeral Home, the burial will be private.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Providence United Methodist Church, 113 Old Dare Road, Yorktown, Virginia 23692.
