Raye was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband of 52 years, Lincoln O’Brien. She is survived by her two sons, Lincoln M. O’Brien, III and James David O’Brien (Billie Jo); two daughters, Carolyn Raye Foster (Chris) and Bonnie Jean Vance (Cecil); eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; brother, Clifford Thomas Thompson (Sandi); her twin sister, Ellen Faye Poore; sister, Jean Carolyn Burke; many nieces and nephews; and beloved pet, Rosie.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 pm, Tuesday, January 6 at Parklawn-Wood Funeral Home. A celebration of Raye’s life will be held at 2 pm, Wednesday, January 7, at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Parklawn Memorial Park.
