Helen focused on her family and her church. She was a very active member of Colonial Baptist Church in Denbigh where she was a Sunday School teacher in the Children’s Department for many years.
Preceding her in rest are her husband, Horace F. Stepp; daughter, Glenda Gail Stepp; two sisters, and one brother. Surviving members of her family include her children, Cathy S. Sypolt and husband Robert G., and Steven L. Stepp and wife Sherry L.; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; one brother; three sisters; and close friends, Nanny and Ruby.
The family will receive friends from 6:30 to 8:30 pm, Thursday, January 8, 2015 at Parklawn-Wood Funeral Home. A celebration of Helen’s life will be held at 11:00 am, Friday, January 9, at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Hampton-Veterans Memorial Gardens.
