Herbert Neil, age 76, passed away on Sunday, April 28, 2013. He was born in Hampton, Virginia and was a resident of Gloucester. Herbert was a Clerk with C&O Railroad and retired in 1997 after 42 years of service. He was a member of Southwark Hunt Club and was a devoted "Papaw" to his 3 grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.
Herbert was preceded in death by his parents, Robert L. Sr. and Evelyn Neil; brothers, Richard E. and Bobby L. Neil. Herbert is survived by his son, Mark Neil and wife, Brooke of Gloucester; daughter, Cindy Reynolds and husband, James of Hampton; grandchildren, Amber Roberson of Yorktown, Mark Dillon Neil and Morgan Neil, both of Gloucester; great-granddaughter, Melia Amundsen of Yorktown; and brother, Norman Neil of Surry County.
A private family graveside service will be held at 1:00 pm on Wednesday, May 1, 2013 at Parklawn Memorial Park.
