He had worked for Newport News Shipbuilding and Dry Dock and retired as a tool supervisor in the 1970's after over 30 years of service. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving in the Korean conflict. He was a lifetime member of the American Legion, and a long-time member of AA.
Hugh was preceded in rest by his parents, Joseph A. and Flossie Henebry; and brother, Joseph A. Henebry, Jr. He is survived by his faithful companion and trusted friend of many years, Nancy Simkins. Also surviving are his nieces, Mariann Bergman and Nancy H. Carter; and nephew, Michael Henebry.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, August 7 at Parklawn-Wood Funeral Home Chapel.
