Jacob Ethan Tyler DuBose, of Hampton, was just 20 years old when he left this world on Tuesday June 15, 2010. Born on November 9, 1989, Jacob was a 2008 Bethel High School graduate who was finishing up an Associate’s Degree in Business from TNCC. Jacob was a bright, gregarious young man who was a fiercely loyal and loving son, brother, grandson, and friend, as well as an accomplished violinist.
Jacob is mourned by his mother, Ruth Hathaway of Hampton, his father, Charles “Tommy” DuBose of Gloucester, his older sister, Sarah DuBose of Clemson SC, his older brother, Jeremiah DuBose of Hampton, his loving girlfriend, Holly Gannon of Hampton, his godson John Brayden Harrell of Hampton, his grandmothers Soon Fe DuBose of Newport News and Mary Estes Cumming of Hampton, as well as countless other family members and friends whose lives he touched. Jacob will be missed by many.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 7:30 PM on Thursday, June 17 at Parklawn-Wood Funeral Home.
A celebration of Jacob’s life will be at 3 PM Friday, June 18 at the funeral home. Interment will follow at St. John’s Cemetery in Hampton.
