I wish to send you my most heart felt condolences.  I was most saddened to hear of your loss because I know you were always close with your mom.  My memories of your mom have always been and always will be of a warm and loving person who always saw the good side of people.  I know she will be deeply missed.  I took a recent trip to the states and I actually remember thinking about your mom before I left.  I have this white wool sweater she once gave me as a present, it’s soft and comfortable, I’ve always liked it.  I still have that sweater and wear it most evenings when there is a little cool in the air.  Katharina had made some comment about the sweater and I think that sparked my thinking about it and I remember thinking about your mom having given it to me.  She was always warm and nice to me.  I remember her brief words on the telephone around the time my father passed away.  Your mom’s words echoed in my mind long after.  They were words of sincere compassion and care and somehow carried a small measure of comfort at my time of grief.  I am glad you had the opportunity to spend the last couple of years since your retirement at home near your parents.  May your time of heeling and pain be as brief as is possible and fade into joyful memories of the love she had for you and your brother.  As the love only a mother can have for her children. Edna (and Steve)-  Wish I could be there with you both at this sad time.  Edna,I know your mother and her attributes in the way in which you "walk" on earth- as you reflect all that she passed on to you.

My Mom was my best friend and a person that showed and shared love of life, family and friends and had a heart of gold.  She taught me so many things when I was growing up and as an adult, that shaped me into who I am today.  Simple things like never lie, always try, and enjoy life, family and friends.  I miss her dearly but know she will always be with me, she is embedded in my heart.

I am having difficulty finding the right words on how you impacted my early years. Love ya and I will see you in God's Kingdom.
