Joyce Jannice Hallums-Dalrymple

Joyce Jannice Hallums-Dalrymple, 84, passed away on Friday, April 6, 2018. She was born in Jamaica and was a resident of Hampton since 1999. Joyce was an avid craftswoman and loved gardening. She was a past member of the West Indian Culture Association in Syracuse, NY and was active with Meals on Wheels in Syracuse, NY, Pittsburgh, PA, and Dover, DE. She was also a member of the Hampton City Clean City Commission. Surviving members of her family include her husband, John J. Dalrymple; children, Milton Garth Scudder of Harlem, NY, Genevieve Karen Littlejohn of Steubenville, OH, Erica Julia Noble and husband Robert J. of Hampton, VA; grandchildren, Arabia E. Littlejohn, Lt USN of Camp Pendleton, CA, Semaj J. Noble, Cpl. USMC of Camp Pendleton, CA, Jaren J. Noble of Hampton, VA, Franklin Littlejohn of Steubenville, OH, Quintin Lee Littlejohn of Steubenville, OH, and Zander J. Noble of Hampton, VA; siblings, Mickey Savage of Queens, NY, Wesley Savage of Bromly, London, England, and Una Mae Savage and Enid Savage of Brooklyn, NY; and many beloved and cherished nieces, nephews, and friends. The family will receive friends 10:00 to 11:00 am, Thursday, April 12, 2018 at Parklawn-Wood Funeral Home and Memorial Park. Following the visitation, a celebration of Joyce’s life will take place at 11:00 am at the funeral home. Interment will be at 1:00 pm in Williamsburg Memorial Park.
