Lena K. Dorgan

Lena Dorgan, “a coal miner’s daughter”, age 84, passed away on Saturday, August 10, 2013. She was a native of Francis Mines, WV and was a resident of Poquoson for the past 12 years. She was a member of St. Jerome’s Catholic Church.

Preceding her in rest is her husband, Dennis Dorgan; sisters, Josephine, Mildred and Eva; brothers, Walter and Stanley; and her parents, Sophia and Michael Kacaba. She is survived by her daughters, Sharon Strand and husband Eric of Poquoson, and Kackie Buyna and husband Chet of Wake Forest, NC; grandchildren, Jennifer Strand, Bridget Keeler and husband Matt, and Christina Buyna; great-grandchildren, Jonathan and Aaliyah Buyna, and Madison Richardson; and sister, Virginia White.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, August 17, 2013 from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm at Parklawn-Wood Funeral Home. At 1:00 pm, following the visitation, a service celebrating Lena’s life will be held in the funeral home chapel, officiated by Rev. Mr. P. Eric Palm. Interment will be in Parklawn Memorial Park.
