Lois Ann Jenkins of Hampton went home to be with her Lord and Savior on January 15, 2024. Upon walking through those pearly gates, she was welcomed by the love of her life, Mack, whom she had been married to for 56 years, her firstborn son, William Ray, as well as many other relatives that preceded her. Ann was born 85 years ago in Martin County, North Carolina, and was a longtime resident of Hampton, Virginia. She is survived by her children, Keith Jenkins and his wife Jennifer; Sherrie Armstrong and her husband Ed; her brother, Ray Thomas and his wife Joan; her five grand pups, Gypsy, Dolly, Jeffrey, Winston, and Wally along with multiple nephews and nieces.
Ann will be forever remembered for her quick wit, good humor, her smile that would brighten any room, her ability to talk to anyone as if she knew them her whole life, and the love that she had for her family and friends.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, January 21st starting at 10:00 AM at Parklawn-Wood Funeral Home & Memorial Park, 2551 North Armistead Ave, Hampton, Virginia 23666. A celebration of Ann’s life will begin at 11:30 AM and interment will immediately follow the service. A reception for family and friends will be held at the funeral home after the interment.
The family would like to thank the staff at The Devonshire Senior Living for welcoming Mom with open arms and treating her like family. She made many new friends while she lived there and she loved each and every one in a special way.
