Louise Elizabeth Sandy Outten, age 83, of Zuni, Virginia passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 16, 2025 in VCU Hospital. Born in Newport News, Virginia, she dedicated her life to childcare, taking care of children she thought of as her own.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Cora Mae Miller; and her father, Vernon G. Sandy. She was also greeted in heaven by her beloved husband, Meredith E. Outten, Sr.
Louise is survived by her children: Candice Kagan (Steve), Meredith Outten, Jr. (Peggy), Jamie Hayes (Greg), Brian Outten (Cindie), and Robert Outten (Ashley), with whom she resided. Also surviving are 18 special grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren, with one more on the way.
The family would like to extend a special "thank you" to her doctor, Dr. Lawson, and her staff for the loving care that Louise received.
A visitation for Louise will be held on Monday, March 24, 2025, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Parklawn-Wood Funeral Home, 2551 North Armistead Avenue, Hampton, VA 23666. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, March 25, 2025 at 10:00 AM at Parklawn-Wood Funeral Home, followed by interment at Parklawn Memorial Park.
