Mae Teagle passed away November 17, 2015, one day after her 96th birthday. She was born in Los Angeles, CA but came as an infant to Newport News where she grew up and graduated from Newport News High School. She had been a resident of Hampton since her marriage to Jimmy Teagle in 1941.
Mae was a member of First Methodist Church and the Hampton Yacht Club. Mae and Jimmy spent many happy days with friends cruising the local waters.
Mae was predeceased by her husband and is survived by her daughters, Patricia Brown (Frank), Diane “Dee” Price, and Jane Camp (Jim); her sister, Carolyn Holmes; grandchildren, Christy Hearne, James Bradford Lindsay, Matthew Price, Jay Brown, and Thomas Camp; and three great-grandchildren.
A visitation will be held Saturday, November 21, 2015 from 3 to 5:00 pm at Parklawn-Wood Funeral Home. Burial will be private.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations in Mae’s memory be made to a favorite charity.
