

Margaret Rowe Brown, 75, passed away on Wednesday, April 6, 2011. She was a native of Portsmouth and was a resident of Hampton for 30 years. She spent the last 2 years of her life at Consulate HealthCare in Windsor. Margaret attended Woodrow Wilson High School and was an active member of Buckroe United Methodist Church, and First United Methodist Church in Hampton. She was an administrative assistant for Kirby Vacuum Cleaners and also worked as an EKG technician at Hampton General Hospital.
Margaret is preceded in rest by her loving husband of 23 years, William L. Brown; her parents, Leslie Lee and Anna D. Rowe; and her beloved brother, William Lee Rowe. She is survived by her daughters, Edna Gail Rymal of Clearwater, FL, Sharon Lee Walden of Cocoa Beach, FL, Deborah Ann Huffman of Hillsboro, OH, and Charlene Stalls Creekmur of Windsor; 13 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and her sisters, Joan Leslie Rowe and Susan R. Meybin, both of Midlothian.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday, April 8, 2011, at Parklawn-Wood Funeral Home. A celebration of Margaret's life will be held Saturday, April 9 at 10:00 a.m. at First United Methodist Church of Hampton, 110 E. Queen Street, with Rev. Dr. Michael Nelson officiating. Interment will follow at 3:00 p.m. at Monticello Memorial Park, in Charlottesville.
