Marina F. Auvil

Marina F. Auvil went to be with her heavenly father on June 6, 2015 at the age of 80. Marina grew up in West Virginia, but resided most of her life in Hampton, Virginia after serving beside her beloved husband for 20 years, who served in the Air Force. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who loved her family. She was a faithful member of Bethel Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her father and mother, Jim and Novella Ledford, her two brothers Richard and Roger Ledford and her grandson, Christopher Vincent. She is survived by her loving husband of 59 years, Douglas Auvil, daughter, Debbie Turner (Charles), son, Jim Auvil (Sheila), daughter, Sherry Vincent (Eddie), Vickie McGranaghan (Lee), daughter, Jackie Burton (Shannon), brothers, Tommy, Rob, Freddie and Leon Ledford, granddaughters, Krystal, Amber, Ashley, Stephanie and Brookelyn, grandsons, Calvin, Matt, Jimmy, Jacob, Jonathan, Josh and Stephen, great-granddaughter, Lexi, great-grandsons, Cody, Bryson and Landon and a host of nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. on Monday, June 8th at Parklawn-Wood Funeral Home in Hampton. A service of Remembrance, officiated by Pastor Lloyd Donica, will be held at Bethel Baptist Church, 1647 Briarfield Road, Hampton, VA 23669 at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 9th.
