Aunt Irene, such a beautiful lady. When I was born, she was working in the delivery room in Mullens WV. She helped to present me to my Mom, her sister Nancy. Of course, I wouldn't know anything about this, but, I always enjoyed hearing her tell me how special that event was to her.
When we were growing up, many summers, we would travel from little ole Ripley WV to Hampton VA to have fun in the sun with our Aunt and cousins. I thought it was the most fun place to be!!
Aunt Irene will surely be missed, but, I can take comfort in knowing that she is @ rest and sheltered in the arms of God.
Love,
Debbie and Louie

This is my Nana, with whom I shared many of my earliest and dearest memories. I am her first grandchild and I know that I was very special to her. She was special to me.

I will cherish my memories of her and my heart aches for my Dad, Mike Sneed and his brother, Steve Griggs. My heart breaks for Amanda and Randy to whom Nana was much like a mother.

I look like my Nana. I have her smile and nose. I have her green eyes. I'm like her in many ways. She will live on through her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

I grieve with others who loved her and cherish her memory. What I'd give today to be five years old again watching General Hospital with my Nana and to hear her laugh. I always loved it when was silly. She'd be drinking a diet pepsi and I'd be eating an oatmeal cream pie. Taffy would be by her side. Buffy would be at Papal Bert's side with Bigfoot and Tonya, the sweetest of the k-9s would be at our feet. In my Nana's eyes, I always saw that I was the most wonderful little girl in the world to her. She has told me many times in adulthood that she has always loved me and that I was her first precious grandchild. I hope that one day, I make my grandchildren feel as special.

Rest sweetly with your Savior, Nana. May your mind and heart be at peace. I hope you've been reunited with my Grandfather.
