

Born March 29, 1930, she was raised in Canton, North Carolina, and enjoyed growing up in the beautiful mountains, with a loving family.
She graduated from Canton High School, then went on to college at Gardner-Webb and Carson Newman Colleges. She received her Master's Degree in Religious Education from The Southwestern Theological Seminary. This led to her teaching in various elementary schools for many years.
Martha chose to work in the background, never seeking attention. She supported her husband as he pastored at Parkview Baptist (Newport News), Camellia Baptist (Norfolk), Mechanicsville Baptist, twice at Grace Baptist (Williamsburg), and at Second Baptist (Chesterfield). Her constant faith in God and sweet gentle nature will always be remembered.
Preceding in death were her parents, Ebb and Carlie Devlin; siblings, Mary Lou Devlin, Elizabeth (Earl) Rogers, Robert Earl (Jean) Devlin, and Jack Devlin.
She is survived by her children; Carla Rebecca (Claude) Fairbanks, Paul B. Logan III, Kevin L. Logan; Grandchildren, Christopher (Elizabeth) Fairbanks, Jason (Natasha) Fairbanks, Kaci (Ryan) Jenkins, Joshua Fairbanks, and Carlie Fairbanks; great-grandchildren, Nadia, Allison, Watson, Haley, and Luna. Survivors also include her sister, Shirley (Ray) Kennedy, sister in law Betty Ray Devlin, extended family and friends, and Rosalia F. Logan, and Martha W. Logan.
