Mary Edna Fenton

She is survived by her daughter, Linda Bruseau (Greg); her son, Thomas; seven grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren; her brother, Leon M. Cole (Pat), and many close friends considered as extended family.

Born and raised in Terre Haute, IN, Mrs. Fenton is predeceased by her beloved husband of 63 years, Daniel “Ed” Fenton; her two sons, Joseph (infant); Dennis (aged 45); her parents, Roy and Edna (Diskin) Cole; her brothers, Roy, Don, Cyril, Martin, Jack, Lou; and her sister, Ruth.

Mrs. Fenton worked as a telephone switchboard operator for several companies during her 30 plus year career.

Family and friends are invited to a viewing scheduled 6:00 – 8:00 pm, Tuesday, October 3, 2017, with a prayer service at 7:00 pm at Parklawn-Wood Funeral Home, 2551 North Armistead Avenue, Hampton, VA 23666.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:00 am Wednesday, October 4, 2017 at Our Lady Queen of Peace – Bethel Chapel, 1794 1st Street, Hampton, VA 23665. Interment will be at Arlington National Cemetery, alongside her husband, in Arlington, VA.

The family asks in lieu of flowers, memorial donations be made to: Alzheimer’s Association at alz.org or Wounded Warrior Project at support.woundedwarriorproject.org.
