Mary Alice Morgan, 88, went to be with the Lord on October 29, 2021. She was born in St. Louis, Missouri and a Newport News resident since 1952. Mary was an active member of Menchville Baptist Church and a faithful Sunday School teacher of 40 years.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 43 years, James E. Morgan, Sr. Mary is survived by her three children and their spouses. James E. Morgan, Jr. (Rene), Joseph C. Morgan (Lori), and Joyce M. Porebski (Pete). Eight grandchildren - Michelle, Christine, Peter, Kevin, Annette, Matthew, Katie, James, and five great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday November 3, 2021 at Parklawn Memorial Park 2551 N. Armistead Ave Hampton, VA 23666.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made in her memory to Menchville Baptist Church, Newport News.
