Maureen Dolores Cash

Maureen "Molly" Delores Johnson Cash, 74, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, November 14, 2012, after a recurrent battle with cancer. She was a native of Welch, West Virginia. Maureen graduated from Johnston Memorial Hospital School of Nursing in Abingdon, Virginia, and then moved to Hampton. She was dedicated to her career and touched many lives along the way. She retired in 2000 as the R.N. Administrator at Northampton Convalescent Center.

Maureen married Phillip N. Cash on December 28, 1960 at the First Presbyterian Church of Hampton. They loved to travel and especially spend time in Florida living out their beach bum days by the Gulf.

She loved her books, music and her bible studies. She felt her greatest role was in being a grandmother; it was such a privilege and honor and she was rewarded with many hours of laughter.

Maureen is survived by her husband, Phil; daughter, Shari Cash Drake and family of Hampton; and son, Michael Neil Cash and family in Richmond.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers a donation be made to a favorite charity.
