Melinda was born on January 16, 1966 in Hampton, VA, the daughter of late Henry and Alice Tharp.
Melinda aka "Minnie" loved listening to music on her radio, watching Westerns on TV and talking and laughing with family members. She loved stuffed animals and her favorite was Winnie the Pooh that her brother Henry Jr. would get for her. Her sister Becky was her go to person and Becky took care of her the last 5 years.
She is survived by her sisters Regina Tufano (Dan) of Kentucky, Becky Tharp, Anita Conner (Clint); one brother Henry Tharp Jr. all of Hampton VA. She also leaves behind nieces Courtney Bates, Candice Tufano, Tiffany Conner and Autumn Bates, along with several cousins and aunts.
We love you "Minnie" you will be dearly missed. Until then we will see ya later our angel.
A graveside service for Melinda will be held Monday, September 8, 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Parklawn-Wood Funeral Home & Memorial Park, 2551 N Armistead Ave, Hampton, VA 23666.
